Welcome to Taylor’s Tears, a site devoted to rescuing pets that have been, or are about to be, abandoned and in many cases left to die. Our mission is to rescue the pets, provide temporary care and shelter, and find permanent, loving homes for the rescued pets.
We are in Southwest Florida (primarily, Fort Myers, Buckingham, Naples, Bonita Springs, Cape Coral, Lehigh Acres). When rescued by our team of volunteers, the pets enjoy a loving environment on a 10 acre hobby farm and are welcomed into the home of Founder and Operator, Gina Brashear, while waiting for their forever adoption families. We are a private, non-profit, no-kill rescue network. We receive no federal or state funding.
All pets that we rescue have a vet visit for a health check up, immunizations and if needed, spay/neuter.
Beautiful Setting for Beautiful Pets
Here is a quick look at life on the farm for Gina’s personal pets, and her rescues. Sort of looks like a resort for pets? But they deserve it, yes? While they are waiting for their forever adoptive homes, these lucky pets and rescues run, play, and be, well, pets.

Foreclosures and Evictions – Hardships for All
Many of our rescues are pets that owners could not take with them after losing their homes. Loving family pets are one of the untold tragedies of this economic downturn. You can help save pets that might otherwise starve to death or be prematurley euthenized. Read more in our How to Help section.
